Australian Retailer Pays Tribute To PROBE Group’s COVID-19 Support With Service Champion Of The Year Award At 2020 Coles Supplier Awards

    PROBE Group has received national recognition for helping Australian retailer Coles navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, snaring a coveted prize at the company’s annual supplier awards.

    The 2020 Coles Supplier Awards, which honoured Australian businesses, producers and farmers across 14 categories, saw PROBE named joint winner of the Coles Service Champion of the Year Award for its outstanding service during COVID-19.

    The award judges said the company’s support in providing customer service was invaluable during the pandemic.

    PROBE shared the trophy with The Resilience Project, which created a dedicated program to support the wellbeing of Coles team members.

    PROBE Group Chief Executive Officer Andrew Hume said the Coles Service Champion of the Year Award was a credit to his colleagues who went above and beyond for their clients every day.

    “We are honoured to receive this prize from the team at Coles, particularly given the scale and quality of suppliers they work with each year,” he said.

    “While we provide excellent customer service as a matter of routine, it’s always special when partners take the time to applaud our efforts as Coles has done with this award.

    “The past year has presented huge challenges for so many people and we are humbled to have helped Coles safely serve more than 600 million customers since the pandemic began.”

    The 2020 Coles Supplier Awards attracted a record number of entries, with nearly 400 nominations across 14 awards recognising innovation, service, sustainable practices and community initiatives.

    Coles CEO Steven Cain said the awards were a chance to celebrate the outstanding contribution of Coles suppliers across the country.

    “A key part of our Win Together strategy is to build sustainable long-term partnerships with our suppliers,” he said.

    “In a year like 2020, with drought, bushfires, floods and then COVID-19, the strength of these partnerships has never been more important and we are enormously grateful to our suppliers for their collaboration and commitment to our customers.”

    The Coles Service Champion of the Year Award is the latest accolade for PROBE, which was recently named the Australia Customer Experience Outsourcing Services Provider of the Year at the prestigious Frost & Sullivan 2020 Best Practice Awards.
